We are moving to Wales in precisely 13 days. Our current home is devoid of pictures, mirrors and, would you believe even the cushions from the sofas in the lounge have not escaped the maelstrom. Anything that is not nailed down or screwed on has been wrapped in newspaper (namely Will and Kate's wedding souvenir newspaper - don't ask:not happy), bubble wrapped and stuffed into boxes each labelled with it's final destination in black marker pen. We are moving to a village just outside of Swansea on the 27th August and life as we currently know it will change...dramatically!
The notice has been handed in by me on my job for the last 5.5 years. Never find a job like that again. The removal men have been booked and the house (ours) has been let. The last remaining son at home is currently awaiting A level results and will be off to Leicester if all goes well. So not only will I be moving away from family, friends and job I will also be undergoing empty nest syndrome - all in the space of a month!! Never has medication looked so appealing! Still, it is the start of cycling weekends around the Brecon Beacons, long walks down at Mumbles and shopping in Swansea and Cardiff ...
Right off to bed now ... last week at work starts tomorrow. Nighty night :)
